1978 F250 Build Post 17 – Update and Rear Brake Lines
It’s been around 10 months since the last post, apologies! I’ve been steadily working on the truck and stacking pictures but have neglected to update the blog until now.
With that out of the way, onto the 1978 F250 rear brake lines. I used Eastwood’s flare tool (highly recommended), bender, and SS line. Although I admit the lines don’t look the prettiest they are good to go, being the first time flaring and bending brake lines I’m happy with how it turned out. I couldn’t find the breather bolt for the axle so we had to drill a bolt, cut the head off, and use that (see pictures below). I also had to fabricate a drop bracket for the rear soft line (due to the 4″ lift kit).
